John's primary practice involves representing hospitals, physicians and health systems in medical malpractice cases, including the University of Washington Medical Center, MultiCare Health System, and Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center. He also assists physicians with Medical Quality Assurance Commission matters and other health care providers with disciplinary actions involving the various Department of Health regulatory agencies. He is experienced in the other areas of healthcare law, as well as in personal injury, commercial contract litigation, wrongful termination and employment discrimination, products liability and general liability claims.
John has presented at meetings and seminars sponsored by a wide range of organizations. Some of these include the American Hospital Association, Washington Defense Trial Lawyers, Washington State Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Neuro-radiologists, Washington Osteopathic Association, Washington Health Care Risk Management Society, Washington Regional Perinatal Care Program, Children's Hospital and Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Washington Organization of Nurse Executives, and a number of local medical societies. He has also testified before various committees of the Washington State Legislature on tort reform issues.
